Description

This Roman blind features a unique design that is a versatile option for absolutely any room. The fabric has an industrial two-tone concrete texture effect, inspired by the gritty urban landscape of a sprawling city.

This blind blocks out sunlight, it helps keep your room cool as well as dark. The blackout coating also adds an extra layer of insulation, giving the blind thermal, sound insulation and energy-saving properties that aren’t found in non-blackout blinds. It protects against heat loss and heat gain, regulating your room temperature so you’re kept warm in winter and cool in summer. It also has a Stain resistant feature that enables you to use these blinds even in the kitchen!

Care Instructions:

The easiest way to keep your Roman blind clean and dust free is to use a vacuum cleaner with a specialist upholstery attachment. Open your blind fully and, using the upholstery attachment, carefully brush the fabric in a downward motion until you have vacuumed the whole of the blind surface. Pay special attention to the bottom and side edges of the blind. These attract the most dust as they are in regular contact with your window sill and frame.

FREE Standard Delivery on orders over £150. (UK Mainland only!)

We dispatch all Made to Measure/Made to Order orders within 2 - 6 weeks of purchase, whereas Standard products usually within 7 days of purchase, however, dispatch varies. For details, see individual items. We aim to reduce greenhouse gas emission through consolidated shipments where possible. For example, if you order a Standard product together with Made to Measure/Made to Order product, they will arrive together within 2 - 6 weeks of purchase.

When one of our courier partners has collected your order, we'll email you the tracking number and the link so you can track it all the way to the door. If the product arrives damaged, please notify us immediately, do not discard the packaging.

Returns:

All our Roman blinds, Day & Night blinds, curtains and other soft furnishings are made to order and we don’t stock ready-made products, therefore, once they are made, they are only suitable for your use. Your order cannot be cancelled or returned unless faulty or not made in accordance with your specifications.

If your product develops a fault we’ll repair or replace the product in accordance with the terms of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We're so confident in the quality of our products, we provide a free, 5 - year guarantee on all of our Roman blinds and curtains.

The below are not considered as faults and therefore cannot be repaired or replaced:

* Fabrics and dyes - normal fading
* Normal tear and wear
* Accident
* Alteration
* Exposure to elements
* Misuse
* Failure to follow measurement, installation, cleaning or maintenance instructions
* Fitted in a non domestic environment

Child Safety

Blinds Safety Legislation

All blinds supplied and / or fitted in household premises must comply with the legislation, even if children do not live at the premises at the time of the order. Commercial premises must comply if children are likely to visit the premises at any time, for example, schools or restaurants.

Why was the legislation changed?

Public awareness of the strangulation risk to young children presented by blind cords and chains has led the authorities to introduce stricter safety standards.

2004: There were no child safety requirements for blinds.

2009: Limited requirements were implemented.
2014: Detailed requirements and test methods were introduced, together with compulsory warning labels on the product and in store.

What does the legislation say?

Blinds must either have no accessible cords (so no strangulation risk) or be supplied with child safety devices which must be fitted as per the manufacturer's instructions, either by the customer or by a fitter (Design-JR).

Warning notices must be supplied with the product and at the point of sale to ensure that customers are aware of the potential child safety hazards.

Safety devices are already included with our blinds, but the new legislation requires us to apply stricter test methods and also raise customer awareness to the strangulation risk posed to young children through warning labels.

As part of our compliance to these regulations and to make sure that our blinds are out of reach of children, all the chains and cords provided with our products will be made at a maximum length of one meter.

Furthermore, if a child or vulnerable person is likely to be using the room where the blind is installed, you MUST fit the safety device we provide in order to tie up the pull cord safely out of the way of children, vulnerable persons and pets.

Even when the safety device is fitted, we recommend that you move beds, cots and furniture away from any window.
