Delivery:
We dispatch all Made to Measure/Made to Order orders within 2 - 6 weeks of purchase, whereas Standard products usually within 7 days of purchase, however, dispatch varies. For details, see individual items. We aim to reduce greenhouse gas emission through consolidated shipments where possible. For example, if you order a Standard product together with Made to Measure/Made to Order product, they will arrive together within 2 - 6 weeks of purchase.
When one of our courier partners has collected your order, we'll email you the tracking number and the link so you can track it all the way to the door. If the product arrives damaged, please notify us immediately, do not discard the packaging.
Made to Measure / Made to Order Returns:
All our Roman blinds, Day & Night blinds, curtains and other soft furnishings are made to order and we don’t stock ready-made products, therefore, once they are made, they are only suitable for your use. Your order cannot be cancelled or returned unless faulty or not made in accordance with your specifications.
If your product develops a fault we’ll repair or replace the product in accordance with the terms of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
We're so confident in the quality of our products, we provide a free, 5 - year guarantee on all of our Roman blinds and curtains.
The below are not considered as faults and therefore cannot be repaired or replaced:
* Fabrics and dyes - normal fading
* Normal tear and wear
* Accident
* Alteration
* Exposure to elements
* Misuse
* Failure to follow measurement, installation, cleaning or maintenance instructions
* Fitted in a non domestic environment

Conditions of return:
Returning a Standard item:
If an item is not the perfect match, you can return it for a refund within 14 days of delivery in the original condition and packaging. If the product is ruined or used the product shall not be refunded. Please email to info@design-jr.com before returning any items!
Make sure to include dispatch note with the return and if possible, please provide us with a tracking number and a brief description of your case.
Design-JR suggests you get a receipt and a package ID for the return from the delivery service, as it makes it easier to follow the return shipment if needed.
Please note that you are responsible for the costs of returning items!
Shipping costs are non-refundable!
If you are shipping an item over £75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Replacing Damaged Items or Missing Parts:
If your order arrives damaged or defective, we can offer a replacement unit or parts at no cost. Simply report a damaged item to info@design-jr.com
You may have to upload a picture of the damaged item. We recommend that you inspect your item upon delivery and report any issues within 3 days of receiving the item, do not discard the packaging.
Refunds:
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. It can take up to 14 days for the refund to appear in your bank account, but we will keep you informed at each stage of our process.
The following products will not be eligible for refund (unless faulty or not as described):
- Products you received over 14 days ago
- Products without original packaging or labels
- Products or packaging in poor condition
- Where a product has been personalized for you, or made to your specific measurements
- Products that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons
Late or Missing Refunds:
If you have not received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your bank, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at info@design-jr.com

Things to know about different curtain headings.
We want you to be happy about products purchased from Design-JR, therefore, before you commit to a purchase of any curtains, please read this useful guide. We call it “Happy Customer Guide” as not all of the available headings would fulfil your wants and needs, and your expectations without reading this guide may be ruined.
So, let’s begin!
First of all, please note that we are not always able to make a panel drop to exact size given, therefore, the drop tolerance can be +/- 1.5cm.
Ironing
Prior to shipping we iron all our curtains, however, due to transportation most often curtains would arrive to you with creases, but don’t worry! Simply hang them up as soon as possible to avoid future creases and use a steam iron (on low setting) starting from the top of the curtain to the bottom while smoothing the fabric out with the other hand. The steam of the iron will help in straightening the curtains easily without any additional effort. If after 24h, you still can see creases, steam the curtain from the underside of the fabric and this should help to get rid of the creases completely. When you do this procedure, please hold the iron 10-15cm away from the curtain fabric and never place an iron on the heading tape.
Understanding Curtain Fullness
Curtain fullness represents connection between the length of the curtain pole/track and the amount of fabric that is used to cover it.
Our curtains are made to the following fullness:
Pencil Pleat – 2.2 times
Double Pinch Pleat – 2.2 times
Eyelet 1.7 – 2 times
Hidden Tab Top 2 – 2.2 times
Single Pleat – 1.7 times
Rod Pocket – 2 times
For example: your pole/track length is 1m and you are ordering from us the pencil pleat single curtain. We make our pencil pleat curtains to fullness 2.2 times, so your ready flat curtain width would be 220cm (1m x 2.2times = 220cm). Then you would need to pull all the strings together until you have created the required finished width to fit your curtain pole.

Pencil Pleat
This style of curtain is a popular choice amongst people who want their curtains to look elegant and formal. You can use them with either curtain poles, or tracks.
Our Pencil pleat curtains will arrive to you flat, so you will have to gather the header yourself by simply pulling all the strings together until you have created the required finished width. Please remember to pull strings from both sides of a curtain, so you have a pretty much even length of strings left from each end. The strings can be tucked out of sight into a little slot between fabric and curtain tape. You will need to purchase curtain hooks and attach them at equal distances ideally every 10cm along the tape.
Never cut the strings or tie too tightly as you will need to undo the heading before cleaning or ironing!

Double Pinch Pleat
If you want formal and elegant looking curtains for your home, then it must be double pinch pleat curtains. You can use them with either curtain poles, or tracks. Our Double Pinch Pleat curtains will arrive to you fitted with hooks. Please be advised that the pleats for this style of curtains are sewn by hand to a fixed heading and cannot be loosened, so do measure up accurately.

Eyelet
Please remember that this style of curtains can only be used with curtain poles. Currently all our eyelet curtains on the website come with 40mm grommets and are suitable only for a pole with diameter up to 38mm, however, on request we can make different sizes please ask. The grommets glide almost effortlessly along the pole, making opening and closing curtains quick and easy. To make an eyelet curtain look nice, thread eyelets onto the pole with both ends of the curtain pointing towards the window (like shown on in the picture). Position the last eyelet between the bracket and the pole finial.

Hidden Tab Top
If you like a tailored look without the fuss of clips or pins, consider our hidden tab top curtains that are suitable only for use with a pole diameter up to 50mm. The curtain pole slips through the back tab so that neither is visible from the front. This gives the illusion of the curtain floating in space and creates elegant, straight lines.
Back tab curtains are suitable if you don’t want to open and close the curtains very often. Because the fabric rests directly on the pole, it may be difficult to slide the tabs over the pole.

Rod Pocket
This is the most traditional style to hang curtains and it doesn’t require any hardware and is used with curtain pole/rod only. A casing sewn onto the back of the curtain panel at the top enables the curtain pole to go through without being seen. Only pole finials can be seen at both ends when you close the curtains. Because the fabric rests directly on the pole, it may be difficult to slide the panels over the pole to open or close curtains.

Single Pleat
This style of curtain has a simple and very modern look. Our Single Pleat curtains will arrive to you fitted with hooks. Bear in mind the heading cannot be loosened as the pleats for this style of curtains are sewn by hand to a fixed heading so do measure up accurately. You can use them with either curtain poles, or tracks.

Very pleased with these curtains. They fitted perfectly and look great round patio doors. I bought two lots icicle and lagoon (4 drapes) so they pleat and bunch beautifully together and provide extra privacy when needed. Light shines through pleasantly and they give an airy feel. The look is classy and very expensive than you’d imagine. Definitely a good buy.

I bought these to cover french door windows that get full sun. They are so effective at blocking out heat and sun but still able to let some light through and see the view outside. Really impressed with the quality and design. The linen design is quite strong like little lines throughout it, which I like. So pleased with these! They’re much thicker than a voile, more like light curtains. I wanted something that gave me privacy but didn’t block out the light and these are perfect. My room doesn’t get much direct sun, so can be quite dark, but these curtains give the room a relaxing feel, so really pleased. So much so that I’ve ordered some more in blue for my bedroom.
