What are our Bespoke service offers & how does it work?

This service is for customers who want to go beyond the Made to Measure standards where you have very limited options to choose from. Our Bespoke service enables you to create your own unique design that will not be found elsewhere. Your chosen window dressings and soft furnishings can be made from your own fabric or we can supply fabrics, trimmings, wall coverings and much more for you. If you would like to get a sample, please make a note of the fabric collection name and colour and we will arrange this sample to be delivered to you. Subject to T&Cs.

Prior to booking a home visit, we encourage you to send us an email with some details that will enable us to prepare a rough quote and give some initial advice on the most suitable window dressing, also to understand your budget, a project size and personal preferences.

Measure Appointment

During our in-home appointment we will:

  • discuss your ideas and requirements
  •  introduce you to our range of fabrics, trimmings, accessories, etc…
  • take measurements of windows or doors

Final quote will be provided within 5 working days.

Please be advised, we provide this service mainly within a 20-mile radius from RM16 (Chafford Hundred), whereas other areas are subject to negotiation. A visit to take measurements together with a consultation is usually charged at £85. The fee is refunded only against a subsequent order for curtains or Roman blinds of over £650 (excluding fitting). Kindly note, the measures taken are for Design-JR use only and will not be supplied to you in the event you choose not to go ahead with an order. 


Final Quote

We will prepare and email the quote to you detailing each product and your chosen options. Be advised, your final quote will be valid for 14 days from the day you receive it. Assuming that you forgot to contact us within the specified time frame, a new home visit will be required again because we don’t keep measurements taken and designs created any longer that 14 days. In case a second visit is required, an additional £85 fee* charge will be applied.

Whether required you can amend your order within 14 days from receiving your quote, and if it doesn’t meet your budget, we can choose any other alternative fabrics or designs (we will produce maximum 3 quotes) . Please send us an email to discuss additional options.

Place Your Order

Once you are satisfied with the design and quote received and would like to proceed to payment please contact us, and we will then create an invoice for you to pay. First payment is a 50% deposit, whereas the remaining balance needs to be paid on order completion.

Delivery & Fitting

Delivery for bespoke products with a value over £700 is free of charge. Curtain fitting is Free providing you already have a curtain track or pole installed. However, if you would like us to install new curtain poles or tracks it can be arranged, the charge for this service is based on the number and type of items you want us to install. Roman blind installation is also subject to a charge based on the number of items needed to be installed (Read more), ask for details when you place your order.
